Today is another new day. My campus has special activity today. We do open campus today. The purpose of open campus is to introduce our new faculty. Yes! My department becomes new faculty named Faculty of International Resources Science. Our brand new faculty is part of new institution later. Our department will be new institution later as International Resources Science.
In this chance, we introduced to high school students from many school and public. We have 6 laboratories in this department. Of course, one of them is us, in economy geology laboratory! Please come to Economic Geology.
We are very happy to introduce our self to public. Hopefully, there will be many students enrolled this lab after being Akita University (AU). Our lab theme is sulfide minerals. My Professor bought some samples to be shared as as gift. We have pyrothite, sphalerite, pyrite, and chalcopyrite. Actually these are main presents for public related to the theme. They only need to fill the questionnaire and take randomly the mineral name in the lucky box! We don't only have sulfide minerals, but also some others as consolation present, like varieties of quartz, topaz, ruby/corundum, alamandine, garnet, fluorite, and malachite.
Please fill the form and take your lucky prize.

Many people came and had their own lucks. Some of them get the sulfide and ruby! Cool. We are very welcome to children too. Many children came and took their presents. They looked so happy! It is very nice to introduce what minerals are. Their parents were also exited to have minerals. People said "Sugoi" many times. They were very happy! "Sugoi ne.." People enthusiasm amazed me. They queued up and waited to get their lucks. Not only giving minerals, we also offered to introduce some activities related to our lab and to train how using microscope. Unfortunately, these were not interesting more than having your own minerals.

Around 2 pm, we finished! There were almost 600 mineral packages shared! It is sugoi! Then, how about other lab stands? Please don't ask. I don't have enough time to come and to know. We were very busy to serve others. I felt that God answered my pray. Yes, many people came to know our lab.
| You can try the microscope too. |
Please take your luck. Dozo!
